Wild Accusations performs material that is a hybrid of Rock, Country & Blues while sprinkling in tastes of Jazz, Cajun, Funk, and Folk. Their material spans generations and genres equally, and provides the variety you need to stay on the dancefloor all night long! The versatility of the performers allows each song to come to life in a unique and organic way, both instrumentally and vocally. band membersGLENN "SHRIMP" MCELWAIN (drums, vocals) has spent too many decades chasing the perfect band. Based on the talent and versatility of the individuals involved, he believes Wild Accusations may in fact be that band! A veteran of the Boston, New York, and New Orleans music scenes, he enjoys playing keyboards, guitars and percussion, while singing songs in a bluesy, country vein.
KYLE CHADBURN (guitar, vocals) has been performing around Vermont and northern New England for over 15 years in a variety of cover bands, most notably The Evansville Transit Authority. Recently, he recorded his debut solo album of original material, and he looks forward to bringing those songs, as well as many others, to life with the amazing players in Wild Accusations! GARY MATTHEWS (bass, vocals) has been playing bass and teaching music in the public schools for almost 40 years. He has played in a variety of Vermont bands covering most genres including The Vermont Jazz Ensemble, Windows Jazz Band, Picture This, Dr. Burma, The Commotions, as well as numerous pits for musicals. DOUG REID (fiddle, vocals) spent many years as a touring side man in country and western bands out of Southern California, Austin, and Atlanta. In California and Texas he played, when their paths crossed, with Rosie Flores. He has opened for many major acts in country music. While living in Texas, he studied jazz and composition at North Texas State University and played with several of Bob Wills’ Original Texas Playboys, including Joe Holley, Leon Rausch, and Johnny Gimble.Doug spent seven years as a featured performer on the Jim Stafford Show, in Branson, Missouri, where he was also comedy writer, arranger, Music Director, and head of Special Effects. Doug performed with the Paris Swing Orchestra of New York for four years, including at the annual Bastille Day Celebration on 60th Street. RUDY DAUTH (guitar, vocals) has performed with a variety of musical acts around Vermont and New England. In addition to his regular participation with bands like Hoopla and the Woedoggies, he has been an in-demand sideman for many of Vermont's most notable acts! |
